May Mental Health & Wellbeing 2021

During the Month of May we had some amazing days out with our amazing group!

Alongside our normal Mental Health and Wellbeing treks we travelled to the Lake district to visit the Beautiful Ingleton Falls. There really is nothing like being at one with nature to help improve our mental health. We had around 30 people come along for the day and some brought their children who all had the most amazing time and actually enjoyed spending time away from their games and technology!

Later on in the month a group of us also travelled to Keswick in Cumbria and then onto Lake Windermere. We will be looking to organise more of these days out and some even closer to home to make them accessible to as many people as possible.

Some of our families and children completed the Winlatter Forest Gruffalo trail in which the kids really enjoyed working out the clues on the trail.

With so many people suffering from being alone and isolated in their homes we feel accessing these beautiful places in our own areas and beyond has become increasingly important. Our weekly sessions give people a much needed opportunity for gentle exercise and social inclusion.
