We are delighted to announce that we have successfully completed our 800,000 steps for suicide challenge which encompassed a number of our members and volunteers reaching the summit of Mount Snowdon on the 14th August. All in all with our weekly group walks and Facebook group members we completed well over 4 million steps in the month of August! This goes to show how the subject of suicide and mental health is so close to many peoples hearts.
We would like to thank all of the people who took part in the challenge, many of whom we have never even met however they engaged through our social media! Special thank you must go to Nicola Kennerley who raised an amazing £670 which will be match funded by Barclays bank and will go towards us helping vulnerable families through the following months.
Climbing Mount Snowdon was a tough gig for many of our group however as we have stated before tough times don’t last but tough people do and we made it to the top!
